Membership cost depends on what squad you train with and how often they train. There are Term fees as well as monthly fees, for specific details contact Henk at henk@tearawaswimming.co.nz
The basic fee to join Te Arawa Swimming Club is $20.00 per season. This is the Recreational Swimmer level and enables you do swim in Bay of Plenty Swimming meets.

The Club Swimmer is $92.20 per season, and this allows you to swim in most Swimming Meets.

The Competitive Swimmer is $127.00 per season, and this allows you to swim in all swimming meets including National meets.

Parents can join as Friends of Swimming for free.

There are additional costs associated with attending swimming meets and depends on how many swim races at a meet you choose to race. These are charged when you enter the event through Fastlane.

Our Te Arawa Swimming League events are sponsored so the only additional costs is your pool entry fee on the day.

Te Arawa Swimming Club partners with United Aquatic Sports (Henk & his Team) who run all of our pathway programmes. Squad options start from a Post Learn to Swim through to Junior and Development Squads. You can then progress to Competitive programmes.

Are swimming squad and inclusive and we welcome swimmers with disabilities to progress as Para Swimmers.

We also offer Master’s and Fitness squads.

This depends on which squad you are in and the level of swimming. For our younger swimmers sessions are Daily Afternoon / Evening sessions during the school term.

Advanced, Competitive and Master’s swimmers have morning and afternoon / evening sessions available and train up to 6 days per week through the year.

Under our current training model only Senior and Competitive Swimmers train on weekends by invite only. Throughout each school terms we run our own Swimming Leagues for all age groups and members. These are held on either a Saturday or Sunday morning.
No, these provide an opportunity for our coaches and swimmers to have a small break and enjoy a day off.

On some occasions there will be swimming meets on Public Holidays which our members will attend.

We do have a club uniform which you can purchase here – Te Arawa Swim Club – Arena Water Instinct NZ

We do not have compulsory uniform, but we would encourage members to purchase Te Arawa Swimming Club swimwear.

If you are representing the club at swim meets, we would like to see you in a Te Arawa swimming T-shirt or hoodie with dark pants.

For most of our swim squads we provide training aids and equipment. You will need to provide your own goggles and swim cap.

We do encourage swimmers to purchase their own equipment as this helps when you are travelling to events. If you need to know what equipment you might need speak to your swim coach who will be happy to provide some advice.
